HTA Quarantine Protocol

Upon arrival at High Tide Aquatics, fish are placed in an isolated quarantine system and undergo a strict regimen of medication including 14-16 days of therapeutic copper, 2-3 rounds praziquantel dosing, and 10 days of formalin dosing. Praziquantel and metronidazole are administered twice daily in food as well.

High Tide Aquatics is the only U.S.- based LFS Humble Fish certified quarantined livestock vendor.

Why Quarantined Fish?

Quarantining saltwater fish helps prevent illness new fish may have from entering and spreading in your saltwater fish system. Treating new fish before they enter your system helps remove any parasites and eliminate illness that may not be visible or evident before adding them to your healthy tank environment.
